Approximately 80 people participated in the event: Tools for climate change mitigation and adaptation: outcomes and outputs of the USAID Regional Climate Change Program.

Edgar Gutiérrez Espeleta, of the Costa Rican Ministry of Environment and Energy opened this event to present the Strategy for the Water Law and the 10-year report.

The report summarizes the Water Law implementation process in Costa Rica, the outcomes achieved over 10 years, weaknesses and opportunities for improving its management, as well as the challenges to optimizing this tool.

This research responds to an initiative of the LEDS LAC Platform whose purpose is present a summary of the status of climate-resilient low emissions strategies (LEDS) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
